O espetáculo é dirigido por Octavio Camargo, que em 1999 fundou a Cia Iliadahomero de Teatro, que tem como objetivo trazer aos palcos o texto original de “Ilíada” e de outras obras literárias de interesse universal. A companhia já se apresentou em diversos países, inclusive na Grécia, onde “Ilíada” foi escrita. “Quando estivemos lá, soubemos que somos a única companhia de rapsodos do mundo, ou seja, com atores que falam os cantos de ‘Ilíada’ de cór, e isso já não existe nem na própria Grécia, o que foi uma grande surpresa”, comenta o diretor. A iluminação fica por conta de Beto Bruel, um dos maiores e mais premiados iluminadores cênicos do Brasil.
