O Parque Histórico de Carambeí parece um cenário de fábula! É um dos maiores museus históricos a céu aberto do país, com mais de 100 mil m², e recria uma vila histórica holandesa, resgatando a cultura dos imigrantes que colonizaram a cidade. Um passeio para se fazer com toda a família. Os ingressos custam R$ 15 inteira e R$ 7,50 meia-entrada. O tour completo, e com calma, dura aproximadamente duas horas. Começamos pela ala Parque das Águas. Com diques, pontes e eclusas, o setor demostra a relação dos holandeses com a engenharia das águas. Casinhas de madeira retratam moradias sustentáveis, antigas e homenageiam a arte da costura, muito forte na Holanda. Cada lugar tem o seu refúgio, onde nos desligamos de tudo. Aqui em Curitiba, o meu refúgio é a Ilha do Mel. Já em Mato Grosso, é o Lago do Manso. O lago fica há 100 km de Cuiabá e quase não há pousadas ou espaços públicos por lá. Então, para aproveitar esse paraíso é preciso ter casa ou chácara em algum condomínio particular, ou alugar um bangalô ou uma chalana. Geralmente eu passo o fim de semana lá, mas acho pouco. O ideal é ficar uns 3 dias. O lago é muito grande (quase 500 km²) e um passeio de lancha por ele leva uma tarde inteira. Um dos trechos mais lindos do tour é o encontro do lago com os paredões da Chapada dos Guimarães, cenário de filme. Na época da seca (meio do ano) algumas ilhas são formadas e todos encostam os seus barcos e aproveitam o sol e a água transparente com muita música e animação. Na época da cheia (no fim e começo do ano), as ilhas viram gigantes piscinas naturais super rasas. Dá para passar a tarde inteira, apenas curtindo o cenário.
